Encompass: Connecticut Evaluation Guide
Welcome to Encompass Connecticut Edition
Build geographic literacy, background knowledge, and comprehension while exploring Connecticuts’s land, resources, and history, and learn about local and state government structures and civic participation. Encompass is designed to make a big impact using easy-to-teach and fun-to-learn activities that take 15–30 minutes and fit nicely with social studies or ELA.
The program supports teachers in integrating social studies through a consistent focus on maps, graphs, charts, and other geographic tools—so students build foundational knowledge before they tackle new content and complex texts.
