Georgia Students Take the Lead with Investigate

Give students room to grow, and the skills to question the world.

Investigate World History: Early Civilizations to Present

A perfect fit for Georgia classrooms!

Why Investigate?

High school social studies should be rigorous and engaging. Investigate: World History: Early Civilizations to Present delivers rigorous, standards-aligned instruction that empowers teachers to lead purposeful lessons and students to take ownership of their learning.

Investigate gives every stakeholder a solid instructional foundation:

  • Teachers: Flexible ready-to-teach lessons that amplify their strengths
  • Leaders: A coherent, standards-aligned system across classrooms
  • Students: Engaging skill-building that connect learning to life

Teachers

Less prep, more impact.

Leaders

Coherence and confidence.

Students

Critical thinking and communication.

Investigate benefits everyone: Teachers save time and have room to make the lessons their own; both teachers and leaders get a clear, consistent framework and assessment system; and students get their hands on resources that put them in the driver’s seat.

Less Prep & More Impact

Each course includes 12 units and 72 Tier 1 lessons that follow a clear and consistent format:

  • Engage & Connect
  • Deliver New Content
  • Assess Student Mastery
  • Close the Lesson

This intentional design reduces prep time, supports coherent instruction across classrooms, and keeps students focused on what matters most.

The 72-lesson structure is built to cover about 80% of the school year, covering all the relevant topics and standards while leaving room for additional initiatives.

Resources That Build Ownership

The Student Resource Book supports active learning. It includes:

  • Lesson-related texts
  • Historical and contemporary visuals
  • A variety of detailed maps and charts
  • Graphic organizers and authentic assessments

At the end of every unit, Investigative Projects give students opportunities to apply their knowledge. Students take on real-world roles—researchers, analysts, and decision-makers—to connect history to today and build a portfolio of work they’re proud to share.

Consistent instruction. Real growth. Shared success.

With the assessment system, educators can easily build formative and summative assessments using a searchable bank of 500+ items.

Leaders will appreciate Investigate’s consistent lesson design and embedded strategies, which offer a common playbook for walkthroughs and coaching—supporting coherence across Georgia schools while preserving teacher voice and choice.
