We understand that you are forced to make difficult decisions as you protect the health and welfare of the entire community while also planning for effective and equitable learning. Regarding curriculum and instruction, you are not alone as you plan ahead. We support your goals and want to make sure we are doing all we can to support you during these unexpected times.
Social Studies School Service is making our digital learning platform(s) available to school districts until the end of the 2019/2020 school year, free of charge.
Our dedicated curriculum specialists are ready to work with you to implement a solution that meets your current and evolving needs. We can efficiently set up students/teachers into the program(s) if the district is able to provide rostering data in the proper format. Otherwise, we provide a link you can use to manually add teachers and students to the district/school account we set up for you.
As you navigate the myriad challenges and decisions necessary to keep your community healthy and safe, we are committed to helping you as best we can.
We are offering free access for teachers and students to our proprietary platforms: Active Classroom, Nystrom World, and Young Citizens.
A comprehensive social studies platform with programs in U.S. history, world history, geography, government/economics, and sociology/psychology. Active Classroom is a robust learning management system allowing for differentiation, quiz building, and grading.
A geography tool that contextualizes history in a way that leads to a deeper understanding of both subjects. The platform is home to atlases for every grade and paired interactive activities, hundreds of maps with in-depth country data and tools, and immersive mapping programs.
A comprehensive program that promotes critical thinking and the development of key foundational skills such as literacy and source analysis. Access the Teacher's Guide, Student Book, complete library of LSRs, and digital assigning and grading from any device with an internet connection.
